Days out – Indoor fun

Below is a list of some indoor fun to be had near Knutsford! We also have a separate list of play centres too!

The times given are approximate times to drive from Knutsford without traffic…please check journey times yourself before you travel!! Please also check opening times as some attractions are closed on some days or for part of the year.

Curzon Cinema – 0 mins

Vue Cinema Altrincham – 20 mins

Blakemere Village – 20 mins – indoor activities include pottery painting, candle dipping, other crafts, play barn and indoor race track. Shopping and restaurants on site.

Trampoline Park – 25 mins – warehouse with over 100 connected trampolines,  foams pits, kids zone, games, bouldering and more. Check website for special family sessions, toddler sessions and more

Superbowl – 30 mins – ten pin bowling, laser quest and soft play

Legoland Discovery Centre – 30 mins – 3 rides, 10 lego building zones, a 4D cinema and more! Aimed at children aged 3-10.

Sea Life Manchester (Trafford Centre) – 30 mins – fish, turtles, sharks, giant crab, sting rays and more! Ocean tunnel to walk through. Talks and feedings throughout the day.

Blue Planet Aquarium – 30 mins – various exhibits of fish and other marine life such as frogs and crocodiles. Also visit the underwater shark tunnel, pelican cove and pirate play area. Talks and feedings throughout day.

Chill Factore – 30 mins –  indoor skiing, snowboarding, rubber rings, ice slide, sledges and more! All on real snow! For younger guests check out Mini Moose Land, a snow playground for under 4s.

Catalyst – 30 mins – science discovery centre exploring the chemical industry. Very child friendly with lots of hands on exhibits, backpacks and tablets to borrow, Puzzle Room and trail to follow. Family events at weekends/holidays.

Manchester Science and Industry Museum – FREE – 35 mins  – specifically for children there is a hands on experiments gallery, soft play and baby sensory area but kids will also enjoy looking at the trains, cars, planes, machinery demonstrations and more!

Boulder Hut – 35 mins – bouldering for all ages and abilities!

Imagine that – 40 mins – Explore  different areas below including the imagination village, construction site, art area, water area and science zone. Crafts, workshops and shows. Closed Mondays.

Cheshire Workshops – 45 mins – Make your own candle in one of our range of workshops for all ages! There are also craft workshops including pottery painting, sand art, key-ring or badge making. Children’s playground and cafe.

Eureka! – 65 mins – The National Children’s Museum – hundreds of interactive displays set across different themed zones designed for children to explore and ask questions. Desert discovery and sensory garden for younger children.
