Sheep Shearing at the Farm

Come to the Farm to see our sheep being sheared ready for the start of summer. Bank Holiday Fun

Spend the Spring Bank Holiday with us at Blakemere Village and enjoy Fun FREE activities within the Courtyard.  On Saturday there will be face painting. Siemens Gadget Factory Workshop

Planting Pumpkins

Farmer Tod grows 13,000 pumpkins for our Pumpkin Festival every October and he needs your help to plant them! The 45 minute sessions will include: learning activities, a visit to the pumpkin patch where each child will get to plant a pumpkin and a potting session to plant a sunflower to take home and grow. Our attendees will also be invited back in late September for an exclusive visit to inspect how the Junior Farmer pumpkin patch has grown before we open to the public. Family Forest Fun

A day in the forest for families! Have a go at building dens, play games, go on a bug hunt, do a treasure hunt, make a rope course, have a go at forest arts and crafts, use the swing, obstacle course and hammocks and play in the mud kitchen! This event is not structured, you take part in the activities when and if you want to. We will stop for half an hour lunch, please bring a rug and a packed lunch as we will be eating on the forest floor. Bee activities at Dunham

Predators at Chester Zoo

Monkey Forest Conservation Week

Monkey Forest, Stoke – on – Trent

Monkey Forest is home to 140 free-ranging Barbary macaques. Visitors walk along the 3/4 of a mile pathway. Walk, watch and be AMAZED as the endangered monkeys live as they would in the wild. There are also feeding talks, adventure play areas and more.  During Conservation Week 50p of all entrance tickets will be donated to 2 chosen projects that help protect the Barbary macaques living in the wild. Mill Trail: Become a Factory Inspector

Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow
17th May – 31st August

Become a factory inspector and have a go at our family trail around the mill created by children’s author Philip Ardagh. Join factory inspector Augustus Snout and his assistant Scuttle on an inspection of the mill. Have a go at different jobs throughout your journey and experience the dangers of working in a cotton mill. Pick up your mill trail at the mill entrance. 50p per trail. Booking not needed.
