Spooktacular Family Forest Fun

Delamere Forest – Mon 29th Oct 10am – 2pm

A day in the forest for families with children aged 4+. Have a go at building a zombie hideout, go on a bug hunt, try our spiders web obstacle course, make a mud monster, a clay scary stick man, make a stick skeleton and of course use our swing, obstacle course and hammocks and play in the mud kitchen! Please bring a rug and a packed lunch. We will gather together at the end of the session for a fire toasting marshmallows! This is a self-led event. £10.20 per child, £2.20 per adult. Delamere Forest Babywearing Yoga and Walk

Delamere Forest – Mon 29th Oct 10am – 12pm

We will take in the forest and its offerings while we walk in company of likeminded parents, chat and relax.  During the walk, we will concentrate on the spine and pelvic floor, enabling you to find space and length in your movement, which in turn will help with building core stability. Your baby too will learn how to regulate their emotions through your breath and centred emotional seat. £10 please book ahead. Click for more details

Spooky Trip Down the Mines

National Trust Yard, Alderley Edge – Mon 29th & Tues 30th Oct 7pm

Join Derbyshire Caving Club for a Halloween tour of underground Alderley Edge. Come and see the some of the oldest copper mines in Great Britain and hear some of the stories of real people who lived worked and DIED there…..Do you dare??? Some crawling involved. Suitable for adults and accompanied children over 6. Booking and payment in advance is essential. Cost £7.50. Haunted Halloween at Tatton Park

Dare you enter the Old Hall at Tatton Park – reputedly one of the most haunted buildings in the country? Find out about the new European Mars Rover mission, see how scientists and engineers are creating and launching the new James Webb Space Telescope to look deep into space, plus learn how much you rely on space technology every day! Magical Woodland 2018

Blakemere Village, Northwich – Sat 20th Oct  – Fri 2nd Nov

An interactive light and music experience with live performances set in a 15 acre Cheshire Woodland. Experience the beauty and magic of the woodland as never before! Tickets from £12.50. Ghostly Goings-On at Quarry Bank

Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow – Sat 27th Oct – Fri 2nd Nov

Join us for a week of Halloween fun. Scare yourself on a spooky tour of the Apprentice House and toast a ghostly marshmallow over a campfire. In the mill you can dress up and ‘snap a spook’ or join in with haunting crafts. Activities will take place at the Apprentice House and within the Learning Space. Tegg’s Nose Country Park Halloween Trail

Tegg’s Nose Country Park, Macclesfield – Sat 20th Oct – Sun 4th Nov

Some spooky visitors are visiting the park this half-term! Can you explore the park and find them all? Buy a map from the Tegg’s Nose Tea Room for 50p, and get searching around the top of the park. Spooky World Fun by Day

Apple Jack’s Adventure Farm, Warrington – Sat 20th Oct – Weds 31st Oct

Halloween events for kids aged from 4 to 11. Visitors can wander the site enjoying all the attractions on the farm whilst meeting Halloween characters (NO scare actors present during the daytime events). Zombie Pirate Trail

Follow Blakemere’s spooky trail to discover the hidden items left here by the Zombie Pirates many years ago. For Each Activity Trail completed an Activity Prize will be won. Spooktacular Fun on the Farm

Stockley Farm, Arley – Sat 20th Oct – Weds 31st Oct

The whole farm has had spooky makeover!  Our (not so wicked) Witch will be taking residence in her spooky house, ready to play trick or treat with those brave enough to venture in; you can carve your own pumpkins, take part in our fabulous fancy dress competitions, and enjoy a few treats (or tricks!) along the way! All the activities are aimed at the youngsters and the focus is on having fun rather than being scared …well, not too scared! Click for more details
