This October half term, discover how mill work impacted the human body. How did the apprentices feel after a long day at the mill? What did working 12 hours a day really do to your body? Join us for crafts, science experiments and interactive activities that will bring all of the aches, pains and injuries of 18th Century mill work to life! Booking not needed. Wow Week – Planetarium

Join us for WOW week during October Half term and prepare to be amazed! We have an incredible Planetarium (extra charge), regular science shows and even real life animals. It’s going to be amazing! *For ages 4-12* Learn about the different job roles at Manchester airport! Try your hand at being a pilot, cabin crew or air traffic controller in our role play session. Wildlife Club at Reaseheath Zoo

Heart of Light Performance at the Farm

When Ravana the ten-headed demon draws darkness over the world, can Rama and Sita’s love and courage bring back a glimmer of light? Forest Tribe Dance Theatre brings new relevance to the ancient tale of Rama and Sita. This sumptuous performance with sculptural set, original score, vibrant dance, projections and puppetry is a pearl of hope in a sea of uncertainty. Mill Trail: Become a Factory Inspector

Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow

Become a factory inspector and have a go at our family trail around the mill created by children’s author Philip Ardagh. Join factory inspector Augustus Snout and his assistant Scuttle on an inspection of the mill. Have a go at different jobs throughout your journey and experience the dangers of working in a cotton mill. Pick up your mill trail at the mill entrance. 50p per trail. Booking not needed.
