A strange furry creature has been spotted in the grounds of Norton Priory Museum! Is it a yeti? An abominable snowman? Big Foot? The theme for this year’s Tatton Park Scarecrow Festival is Sporting Heroes, in celebration of the 2020 Olympics. These wonderful scarecrows are located throughout the Gardens for you to find! Then venture down to The Farm to continue the scarecrow trail. Here, in amongst the paddocks, stables and farmyard you’ll find scarecrows capturing famous moments, with sporting heroes and – of course – their animals. Please check opening times on the website. Superhero & Princess Trail

Once upon a time your favourite Superheroes & Princesses embarked on an adventure around Blakemere Village…a magical spell was cast, and they were all frozen in time! This spell has now been lifted leaving them all stranded! We need your HELP ‘Trainee Superheroes & Princesses’ to re-assemble the team! Purchase your trail maps for just £3 per child from the Visitor Information Centre 10.00am – 4.00pm daily. A great trail suitable for children aged 3-11. Click for more details

The Monkey Forest Reopens

The Monkey Forest reopens for the year! Walk amongst monkeys and enjoy a unique day out for all the family. Monkey Forest is home to 140 free-ranging Barbary macaques. Visitors walk along the 3/4 of a mile pathway. Walk, watch and be AMAZED as the endangered monkeys live as they would in the wild. Meet historic characters, get hands-on with traditional activities and hear the stories of what it was really like to live and work at Dunham Massey during the Edwardian period. Under the Sea Week

For our Under the Sea Week we have stories, songs, dance, fantastic crafts and messy play all included. PLUS, for the slightly older children we’re running some special Lego Builder Classes in the Ark. There’s a small extra charge for these (£3) to cover the cost of the Lego model that you get to keep! We do recommend pre-booking space in these classes on the website as they’re very limited. You can book admission and these classes on our website..
