Dads Club

The Welcome, Knutsford

We’re starting a Dads’ club on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Bring the kids down for a play and a craft activity. Free toast and juice for the kids. Sausage or bacon butties at a bargain price of £1.50. Mums are welcome too although this could be a good chance to have a lie in! Scarecrow Festival

This year’s theme is inspired by Heroes and Villains – and there’s 30+ scarecrows in all scattered throughout our 50 acres of Gardens! It’s a challenge to find them all, and especially to follow the trail and match up our famous pairs of Heroes and Villains.  Fancy making a scarecrow of your own? You’ll find all the materials you need in the Fig House. Later on, if your scarecrow is good enough to hold together, your creation could join the others on display.  Normal Garden admission applies – Child £5, Adult £7 (garden entry free for NT members). £7 vehicle park entry applies to all. Gauntlet Birds of Prey Half Term Opening

Telescope Walking Tours

Join one of Jodrell Bank’s popular Telescope Walking Tours as a friendly Explainer takes you for a stroll around the base of the impressive Lovell Telescope. You’ll find out more about how the Grade 1 listed Telescope works, explore its fascinating history and discover some of its ground-breaking research. Walking Tours last around 45 minutes, will take place indoors if wet, are available on a drop-in basis and are free with general admission. Talks are aimed at adults and children aged 10+. The Alice Experience

St George’s Hall, Liverpool

This is a 90 minute walk through production where St Georges Hall is transformed to create the magical, colourful and slightly mad world of Wonderland. Visitors follow the White Rabbit, have tea with the Mad Hatter, visit the Caterpillar, meet the Cheshire Cat, sing along with the playing cards, and avoid losing their heads with the venerable Queen of Hearts! Monkey Forest reopens!

We’re bringing you an incredible collection of BIG CATS to the zoo, made completely out of LEGO® bricks! You’ll be able to explore the BIG CATS exhibition and discover more about these incredible species, as well as boosting your brick-building skills by having a go at creating your own animal model. Plus there will be plenty of playful cat-themed events and activities for you to get involved in! Manley Mere Adventure Trail

Manley Mere Adventure Trail  is open every day over half term. The trail meanders through woodland, alongside a stream with obstacles and challenges on the way! All equipment is self-propelled and cleverly fits into the surroundings. It is a country walk as well as an adventure so there is always an easy way around – just walk past!
