Halloween fun at Seven Sisters and Red House Farm, Spooky Tours of Quarry Bank, Pick your own Pumpkin at Tatton and much more!! It’s the first weekend of half term and there’s lots to do!! Halloween Fun at Red House Farm

Red House Farm, Dunham – Friday 26th Oct – Sunday 28th Oct (note activities actually start earlier in week coinciding with Trafford half terms)

Our Halloween fun runs from 10am-4pm each day, included in the price (£9.95 per child from 2yrs+) is the Spook hunt, the barrel train, the climbing wall, the inflatable slide, bouncy castle, safari run.  We will have the fancy dress competition running each day around 1.00 pm. Pick Your Own Pumpkin at Tatton Park Farm

Tatton Park, Knutsford – Sat 27th Oct – Sun 28th Oct

Start with a short guided tour of the Farm and then it’s off to the field to search out the perfect pumpkin…prepare to get your hands dirty! Have refreshing pumpkin juice and a yummy pumpkin muffin and learn how to create a warming pumpkin soup. Find out about the new European Mars Rover mission, see how scientists and engineers are creating and launching the new James Webb Space Telescope to look deep into space, plus learn how much you rely on space technology every day! Magical Woodland 2018

An interactive light and music experience with live performances set in a 15 acre Cheshire Woodland. Experience the beauty and magic of the woodland as never before! Tickets from £12.50. The Tiger who came to Tea exhibition

Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow – until Sun 28th Oct

An exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Judith Kerr’s classic. You can meet a giant cuddly tiger and make tea for him in an interactive play kitchen. You can also take a look at facsimiles of Judith Kerr’s original illustrations, notes and drawings and watch on film about her remarkable life. Journeys of the Imagination

Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow – until Sun 28th Oct

Journeys of the Imagination takes you on an interactive trail around Quarry Bank to discover six stories. In the mill you can continue your adventures in the Exhibition Space. You can get dressed up and act out your very own story, have a go on the swing, hide out under the stars in a wigwam, or have a go at making a moving image spinner. How to Hide a Lion from Grandma

Anderton Firework Spectacular

Put on your scariest Halloween outfit and join us at the Farm on Sunday 28th October at 1pm where we will be rambling in aid of Children in Need. There will be a shorter toddle waddle walk for our younger ramblers. Monies raised on the day, by sponsorship or online donations will all go to Children in Need’s 2018 campaign. Scare yourself on a spooky tour of the Apprentice House and toast a ghostly marshmallow over a campfire. In the mill you can dress up and ‘snap a spook’ or join in with haunting crafts. Activities will take place at the Apprentice House and within the Learning Space. Tegg’s Nose Country Park Halloween Trail

Some spooky visitors are visiting the park this half-term! Can you explore the park and find them all? Buy a map from the Tegg’s Nose Tea Room for 50p, and get searching around the top of the park. Spooky World Fun by Day

Halloween events for kids aged from 4 to 11. Visitors can wander the site enjoying all the attractions on the farm whilst meeting Halloween characters (NO scare actors present during the daytime events). Pick and Carve your own Pumpkin at Kenyon Hall

Kenyon Hall Farm , Warrington – Sat 13th Oct – Sun 28th Oct 

Pick Your Own pumpkins (free entry to the patch, pay for your pumpkin by size from £2 to £15). A range of ready-picked pumpkins of all shapes and sizes (pay by size) are also available. There is a carving area to carve your own pumpkin (£3 entry per pumpkin including a free carving kit). A range of hot & cold food and drink, including hog roast, chocolate apples and pumpkin-themed merchandise is available. Follow Blakemere’s spooky trail to discover the hidden items left here by the Zombie Pirates many years ago. For Each Activity Trail completed an Activity Prize will be won. Spooktacular Fun on the Farm

The whole farm has had spooky makeover!  Our (not so wicked) Witch will be taking residence in her spooky house, ready to play trick or treat with those brave enough to venture in; you can carve your own pumpkins, take part in our fabulous fancy dress competitions, and enjoy a few treats (or tricks!) along the way! All the activities are aimed at the youngsters and the focus is on having fun rather than being scared …well, not too scared! Click for more details
