Family Forest School

Nest in the Woods, Adlington
Sat 2nd Feb 10am – 12:30pm

Our programme offers a balanced mix of play, environmental learning, forest school and some bushcraft skills. Family Forest School is suitable for everybody, children, young people and adults. Our monthly Saturday group incorporates tool use, fire lighting, cooking, nature games, survival and bushcraft skills along with a snack, drink and toasted marshmallows. Family Forest School runs right throughout the year, giving us great opportunities to notice and explore the changing seasons. The sessions are drop in but need to be pre-booked with only 24 hours notice. Click for more details

Snowdrop Farmers’ Market

Rode Hall, Scholar Green
Sat 2nd Feb 9am – 1:30pm

A wonderful way to start the Spring with our first farmers’ market of 2019 and the opening of our Snowdrop Walks! The barns will be packed with crafts and artisan foods, live entertainment and children’s activity. Warm yourself up in the courtyard kitchen complete with flaming woodburner and serving homemade soups, lunches, cakes and refreshments. Our Snowdrop Walks are open until 4pm. Click for more details

Experience one of the UK’s most popular walks here at Rode Hall & Gardens.  A beautiful end of winter walk for all the family with a wonderfully diverse landscape and over 70 varieties of Snowdrops. Admission £5/Children £2/Under 5’s Free. Dogs on leads welcome.  Click for more details

Make and Take

Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow
Sat 2nd Feb 1-3pm drop in

Give us a helping hand at making sessions where you can make one for Quarry Bank and one for you to take home. Make something different every month, from creative crafts to seasonal decorations to fat cakes for garden birds. This session is drop in between 1pm and 3pm. Scoot Fit Disco

Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre – Sat 2nd Feb 3-4pm
Macclesfield Leisure Centre – Sat 2nd Feb 5-6pm

The discos are lots of fun, energetic and a great introduction to the benefits of scooting for families. Discos are for children under 8 years old with siblings allowed to attend. Children £5, parents Scoot Fit for free. Children are advised to bring their own scooter if they have one but we have spares if you don’t. No need to book just turn up! Click for more details


Storyhouse, Chester
Sunday 3rd Feb 11am – 3pm

Storyhouse is being taken over by Makefest – a family-friendly day of STEM, digital and creative activities. The building will be filled with dozens of activities that will be fun, hands-on and will encourage learning and play. This includes coding, 3D printing, micro:bit, Minecraft, augmented reality and much more to be announced soon. This a free, drop-in event (you don’t need tickets). Just come along and get involved! This event is open to everyone. Our recommended age is 6-12 years, but you know your child best. Click for more details

The Makers Market

The Makers Market is back!!! An amazing location to showcase, fabulous shops and restaurants and what a great feel and buzz in the town on market day. Even though we say so ourselves, this event is pretty special. One of the largest artisan markets of this type in the UK, with only the very finest food, drink, art and craft. St John’s Church, Knutsford
Sunday 3rd Feb 4pm

A monthly event for young families to find out more about Jesus. You are warmly invited to a new, informal, family friendly afternoon event at St Johns – 4Life. It is running at 4:00pm monthly. The event will have music, food, children’s activities and a short message about who Jesus is. Whether you have been to church in the past, or have never been, or if you have lots of questions about Jesus (or perhaps you think you have none), you would be very welcome to come along to find out more. Winter Safari £20 per car

Knowsley Safari Park, Knowsley
Until 15th Feb

This winter it’s just £20 per car onto the safari drive and FREE entry to the foot safari! So what does that mean? For just £20, a car full of up to 7 people (seated in a car seat) can come along on safari for an adventure around the safari drive! No car? The foot safari will be free to enter all winter. This is where our Brand New Amur Tiger Trail is situated! Open Weds – Sun and every day in school holidays, except Christmas/Boxing/New Year’s Day. Click for more details
