Piggy Themed Breakfast

The Hideaway, Partington
Sat 9th March 8:30am – 10:30am

Come along for an amazing breakfast with pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, hot barms, eggs, toast and juice and your favourite children’s character. There’s 2 hours of Hideaway fun included plus songs and activities with our pig mascot. Grown-ups can buy breakfast on the day for £5 including hot drinks. Secret Science Lab Week at the Farm

Across the weekend of 9-10 March your children can explore science and engineering at ScienceX; it’s fun, exciting, and totally free. All young thrill seekers, space explorers, and future scientists and engineers can get inspired at this festival that gets bigger and better each year! You can get hands-on and play at being a scientist or engineer. Under 7s – Get Set, Blast Off!

As part of British Science week, join us on a fun-filled rocket trip into space, exploring the Solar System and playing lots of games along the way. Sessions last around 20 minutes and are designed for children aged 7 and under. These sessions are very popular and have a limited availability. Places can’t be pre-booked and are allocated upon arrival. If your little one isn’t able to join a session, don’t worry, there’s lots of other fun activities they can get involved with throughout the day.  Click for more details

Family Science Show – A Jodrell Journey

As part of British Science Week, join us as we journey through the history and achievements of scientists at Jodrell Bank. From the Apollo Moon missions to exploding stars and black holes, there is plenty to discover at Jodrell during British Science Week. Our fun and interactive, family-friendly science shows last for 30 – 40 minutes and are aimed at adults and children aged 7+. The shows are free with general admission, but places cannot be guaranteed. Sessions are allocated on arrival. If you don’t get on to your chosen activity, don’t worry, there’s always plenty of other fun events happening throughout the day.  Click for more details

Barnes, the ExoMars Rover

As part of British Science week, visit Jodrell Bank this weekend to meet Barnes, Aberystwyth University’s full-scale model of the Rosalind Franklin Mars Rover! The rover is due to launch to Mars in 2020…but what will it look like? How tall is it? What will the instruments do? How will it search for life? Find out the answers to all these questions when you visit! This is a joint mission between the European Space Agency and Russia’s Roscosmos to search for signs of life, past and present, on Mars. Free with general admission.  Click for more details


St John’s Church, Knutsford

A monthly event for young families to find out more about Jesus. You are warmly invited to a new, informal, family friendly afternoon event at St Johns – 4Life. It is running at 4:00pm monthly. The event will have music, food, children’s activities and a short message about who Jesus is. Whether you have been to church in the past, or have never been, or if you have lots of questions about Jesus (or perhaps you think you have none), you would be very welcome to come along to find out more. World Book Day at Dunham

Percy the Park Keeper – One Springy Day

Join Percy the Park Keeper and his woodland friends on the first of four seasonal activity trails across the year. Based on the new book ‘One Springy Day’ by Nick Butterworth. Complete the trail around the park, garden and house (open days only) and collect a sticker. Pick up your free trail from the garden kiosk. World Book Day at The Ice Cream Farm

The World Book Day events at The Ice Cream Farm continue into the weekend, with a FREE book festival. Just pop into the Playhouse tipi any time between 12-4pm, where a range of authors will be hosting storytelling sessions. There will be bean bags for children to sit on, as well as a dressing up corner. Live Lambing and Zoo Weekend

Reaseheath Zoo, Nantwich
Weekends 2nd/3rd and 9th/10th March

The whole family can enjoy this unique springtime experience. Children will always remember seeing lambs being born! There will be lots of fun children’s activities taking place on both weekends including farm competitions and colouring. The Reaseheath Zoo will also be open and the ticket price includes entrance to both the Lambing event and the Zoo. Tickets are available to buy online in advance or on the gate via cash or card. Click for more details

Big Cats made with LEGO® Bricks

We’re bringing you an incredible collection of BIG CATS to the zoo, made completely out of LEGO® bricks! You’ll be able to explore the BIG CATS exhibition and discover more about these incredible species, as well as boosting your brick-building skills by having a go at creating your own animal model. Plus there will be plenty of playful cat-themed events and activities for you to get involved in! There are also be ten endangered brick animals hidden around the zoo for you to discover in our LEGO Brick Trail, with a chance for you to WIN your own in our competition! Normal admission applies.  Click for more details.
